    Abstract

This paper examines the relationship between grammar and semantic sciences by investigating the plurals of breaking in Suratul Baqarah of the Holy Qur’an. The purpose is to determine the extent of the relationship between grammar and meaning, including broadness, narrowness, and oppositeness. The focus is on understanding the morphological relationship of the plurals of breaking and their effects on meaning, including addition, deficiency, and other factors. This investigation aims to prove the relevance of the Suratul Baqarah to contemporary issues and demonstrate the enduring nature of its meaning. The plurals of breaking are complex and have been the subject of ongoing discussion among grammar scholars. However, some facts about them are fixed, such as their function of few and many. The plurals of breaking are a factor in bringing about change and expanding the meaning of what is meant based on the speaker’s intentions and the circumstances. These include minimizing, humiliating, honoring, obscuring, venerating, minimizing and increasing, generalizing, specifying, and others. The paper also highlights the confusion between plural endings and inexhaustible nouns among grammarians due to their similarities and differences. The researchers recommend continuing the study of morphological phenomena through religious texts and linking them to modern sciences to create a dual study between religious and linguistic sciences. They suggest separating the ultimate plural and the unending nouns as they may be similar in some aspects, but different in others.
