1.0 Guide for Paper Submission
The Tasambo JLLC welcomes unpublished scholarly articles and articulated book reviews in the fields of Languages, literature, and cultures. The Journal accepts manuscripts that are original and not previously published be it in print or electronic or under consideration for publication. Submissions should be made via: tasambo@fugusau.edu.ng.
1.1 Acceptable Languages
Only papers written in Hausa, English, Arabic, or French are accepted.
1.2 Formating and Arranging
Full-length research articles should contain the primary sections i.e. abstract, keywords, introduction, data, results and discussion, conclusion, and references. Optional sections include appendixes among others. On the other hand, book reviews, poems, essays, short communications, etc. should follow the standard methodology and style as required.
1.2.1 Page Format
Unless otherwise requested by the Editorial Board or deemed appropriate and approved by the Board, submitted articles should not exceed 20 double-spaced pages, including notes (in 12-point Times New Roman font).
The margins should be 1 inch on all four sides in a single column.
For Hausa texts, the universal Hausa hooked-letters should be used. Read HOW TO USE THE UNIVERSAL HAUSA HOOKED-LETTERS.
1.2.2 Article Title
Paper titles should be concise and informative, not more than 20 words – unless it appears understandably necessary.
1.2.3 Name(s) and Affiliation(s)
Full names and affiliation(s) of the author or each of the authors should come just under the title. Only contact information (email and phone number) of the corresponding author is required.
1.2.4 Abstract
All manuscripts should include an abstract of about 200 words, concisely summarizing the objectives of the study, methodology, and what was accomplished. It should be in single line spacing, single paragraph.
1.2.5 Keywords
Keywords should come immediately after the abstract. A minimum of three (3) keywords are required.
1.2.6 Citations and Lists of References
All citations and lists of references should be in the current APA style. Where applicable, all manuscripts must contain footnotes (not endnotes) inserted and numbered automatically by a word processor.
2.0 Our Review Policy
All articles submitted to the Tasambo Journal of Language, Literature, and Culture undergo a double-step review.
3.0 Plagiarism
All articles submitted to the Tasambo Journal of Language, Literature, and Culture MUST be free from any form of plagiarism.
4.0 Fees
The Journal charges #5,000 review fees and #24,000 processing fees for authors paying in naira. For international authors or authors who prefer to pay in dollars, the fees are $10 for review and $50 for processing. The Journal may offer waivers from time to time.
