Tasambo Journal of Language, Literature, and Culture (Tasambo JLLC)
To maintain the
integrity, transparency, and quality of scholarly publishing, Tasambo JLLC has
established the following policy concerning article withdrawal and
post-publication changes.
1.0 Approval of Galley Proofs
Once the galley proof of
an article is sent to the corresponding author, the author(s) are expected to:
a. Review and respond
within 48 hours of receipt.
b. Clearly communicate
any necessary corrections, if applicable.
c. Failure to respond
within 48 hours will be interpreted as tacit approval of the content. The
article will be uploaded to the journal’s website in its current form.
2.0 Post-Publication Corrections
Authors who wish to
request changes after the article has been uploaded to the journal website
must:
a. Submit a formal
request stating the corrections needed.
b. Pay a
post-publication correction fee of $25 USD (or the equivalent in Nigerian
Naira).
*Note: This fee covers
the administrative and technical work required to retract, revise, and
re-upload the article on the journal platform and indexing bodies, if
applicable.
3.0 Article Withdrawal After Publication
Tasambo JLLC strongly
discourages withdrawal of articles after publication, except in exceptional
circumstances (e.g., major errors, ethical concerns).
Authors requesting
withdrawal after their article has been published online must:
a. Submit a written and
signed request stating the reasons for withdrawal.
b. Pay a withdrawal fee
of $100 USD (or the equivalent in Nigerian Naira) to cover administrative and
indexing-related overheads.
*Note: Withdrawal will
only be processed once the fee is paid and the request is approved by the
Editorial Board.
4.0 Pre-Publication Withdrawal
Authors may withdraw
their article before typesetting without incurring any fee, provided:
a. A formal email
request is sent.
b. The request is made
before the article has entered the galley proof or typesetting stage.
5.0 Disclaimer
a. The journal reserves
the right to reject any post-publication change requests that do not meet
academic or editorial standards.
b. Authors are strongly encouraged to review galley proofs carefully and promptly to avoid unnecessary delays or penalties.
