Aim and Scope

    Aim

The Tasambo Journal of Language, Literature, and Culture (Tasambo JLLC) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to advancing scholarly research in language studies, literary criticism, and cultural analysis. The journal aims to provide a rigorous platform for scholars, particularly those working within African contexts, to disseminate original research, engage in theoretical debates, and contribute to the preservation and documentation of linguistic and cultural heritage. Tasambo JLLC seeks to bridge indigenous African scholarly traditions with global academic discourses while maintaining the highest standards of peer review and editorial integrity.

    Scope

The journal welcomes submissions across a broad range of subfields, including linguistics (phonology, syntax, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, language documentation, translation studies, and language policy), literary studies (oral and written traditions, prose, poetry, drama, African literatures in English and Hausa, postcolonial theory, and comparative literature), and cultural studies (cultural theory, popular culture, media studies, heritage, memory, identity politics, gender studies, and globalization). Special attention is given to Nigerian and West African contexts, particularly the Hausa language and its literary and cultural productions, though comparative and global perspectives are also encouraged. The journal accepts original research articles, theoretical essays, review articles, book reviews, and short research notes.
